As an intern at DBI, you’ll become part of a growing organization and gain the opportunity to work on current issues and real-world challenges. You’ll join a diverse and engaged team of specialists and professionals. The Resilience Department is a small team with a variety of educational backgrounds, united by a shared passion for resilience. At DBI, our primary focus lies in advancing the resilience of critical infrastructure, with the overall aim of making the Danish society resilient. As part of your role, you’ll also contribute to communication activities and help plan and coordinate events in collaboration with external companies and other GTS institutes, strengthening cross-sector knowledge sharing and innovation.


What We Offer

As an intern in the Resilience Department, you will gain knowledge and relevant practical experience within the field of public engagement and resilience. You will be involved in and assigned tasks that match your skills and interests. You will be supported in your assignments and provided guidance throughout your internship.
Examples of Work Tasks

Analysis:

  • Gather information, and process data.
  • Apply methodologies, analytical frameworks, and tools to support the area of resilience.

Communication and coordinating:

  • Define the communication strategies to engage with different stakeholders from the area of resilience.
  • Plan and coordinate events, webinars, workshops, and meetings related to the area of resilience.
  • Ensure smooth communication, logistics, and follow-up for resilience-related activities.
  • Support with other practical and administrative tasks.

The internship will primarily take place at DBI’s headquarters in Hvidovre. You will be assigned a mentor who will guide and support you during your time with us.


About You

We are looking for motivated students pursuing a Bachelors or Master’s degree in disciplines such as:

  • Communication and IT, Communication, International Business Communication, Event Management and Economics, Leisure Management, Anthropology, Ethnology, Techno-Anthropology, Risk and Safety Management, Risk Management and Safety Engineering, Security and Law, Security Risk Management, or other relevant education.

We expect that:

  • You have a natural flair for clear communication and coordination.
  • You are passionate about your field and eager to grow professionally.
  • You can work independently as well as part of a team.
  • You are proactive, adaptable, and have a positive mindset.
  • You value interdisciplinary collaboration and aren’t afraid to seek advice from experts.
  • You can communicate effectively in both Danish and English.

Ideally, you are:

  • Curious and detail-oriented with a critical approach to complex topics.
  • Well-organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Skilled in applying communication and dissemination.

 

The internship begins in the fall semester of 2025.
