Rohde Nielsen has completed a project in Northern Scotland
Rohde Nielsen has recently completed an offshore project in Northern Scotland for a major international cable contractor.
The project was related to a new power cable installed in the North Sea, connecting the Shetland islands with Scotland.
Rohde Nielsen was awarded a contract for the rock berm design verification, rock procurement, delivery, and installation. The power cable was installed in water depths between -23m and -33m, and the rock cable berm consisted of a 2-layer structure with 28.000t of rocks with a total length of 1.100 meters.
Heimdal R started the work in October 2022 and completed the job in December.
